Rich Tone Music Sheffield Store Opening

Posted by Callum on 24th Aug 2020

We want to extend a huge thank you to all our customers for supporting the business either online or those who have taken advantage of our Reserve and Collect and Sell Your Gear Collection services over the last few months. It’s been wonderful to see your response and has really helped keep Rich Tone Music going through this difficult time. We’re looking forward to welcoming you all again in store very soon. In order to ensure our customers have a safe and enjoyable visit, we have put new procedures in place. Please read the details below carefully before arranging a visit. You can visit the store without an appointment, although if the shop is already at capacity you will be required to wait outside. This will help us to manage how many people are in the store at any one time and try to limit the need for queueing outside.

When Can You Visit?

Opening times diagram We will be open 10am - 4pm, Monday - Saturday. Appointments of 20 mins can be made in advance for personal shopping for between 10am and 11am, or for general opening between 11am and 4pm with up to 4 customers in the store at once. Please call or email the store to arrange. Email: sales@richtonemusic.co.uk Phone: 0114 362 7777

Personal Shopping Opening Times - 10am – 11am

Something new for those who prefer having the shop and staff all to yourself! For customers who would like to have the store to themselves, 20 minute personal shopping appointments can be made for between 10am – 11am. All areas will be cleaned and instruments made ready to ensure your safety. There will be three 20 minute slots available up until 11am each day. Please call or email to arrange.

General Shop Opening times - 11am – 4pm

You can visit without an appointment during these times but initially numbers will be limited to 4 individuals in store at once, with visit times of approximately 20 mins each. After this it will be one in one out. If we are full we will advise how long the wait time is likely to be. Please be aware that booked appointments will take priority. If waiting outside the store we would ask you to keep a safe distance from others or wait in your car. No customers will be admitted after 4pm without an appointment to ensure our staff have time to clean the store before closing.

Sell Your Gear

If you are bringing items to sell or part exchange we strongly advise you to make an appointment in advance. Whilst we will do our best to conclude the transaction while you wait, if you have a lot of items to sell we may ask you to leave them with us so they can be cleaned and checked before we pay you by bank transfer. In this event we will do our best to process everything on the same day.

Reserve and Collect

You can reserve any “In Stock” item and arrange to collect from our store. As soon as your order is placed and deposit taken we will pick your item and contact you to arrange a suitable collection time. Your items will be ready for you our new Collection Area at the store entrance. We will be happy to bring them to your car, so there's no need for you to enter the store if it's not necessary. You can call us on arrival, any balance payments can be taken by card and the goods brought out to you. Collection Area In Shop

What to Expect on Arrival

  • We may have the door locked but it may be open with a barrier across to stop entrance until we are ready.
  • On entering the store you will be asked to wash your hands with the sanitizer provided.
  • All surfaces and instruments will be regularly cleaned for safety.
  • We have marked areas in the store to help maintain social distances. You will be directed to one of these areas where you can try your chosen instruments or browse for strings and accessories while maintaining a safe distance.
  • At the counter you will see that we have erected perspex screens for added safety
  • If possible we will ask you to avoid cash and make all payments by card.

Face Masks and Gloves

As well as the regular use of hand sanitizer you will see that our staff may be wearing face masks and in some cases gloves when handling instruments for added safety and reassurance.

Setups and Repairs

If you are looking to get advice on setups, spare parts and repairs we would ask you to make an appointment in advance to ensure we have enough time to fully discuss your needs. We are currently limiting the number of guitars we can receive to one per person for setup or repair.

Please note: Measures are subject to change as the situation develops. We will keep you updated with any major adjustments to our store opening conditions.
