Since 1928, Epiphone have been making guitars, with it's designs standing the test of time, original guitars are very much sought-after by player and collectors alike. While today, the Epiphone brand is considered as the entry point into the Gibson family of brands, Epiphone guitars were bought and built by Gibson in Kalamazoo, Michigan USA between 1957 and 1970. The occasional product run continued to be made in the USA from 1970 to present day, but with increasiing production in the far east, culmination in a dedicated factory in China from 2004.
