If you do decide to sell you can bring the items to our store and our friendly knowledgeable staff will look after you. What is Sell Your Vintage Gear?

Do you only buy vintage guitars and gear?

How old does my guitar have to be, to be considered "vintage"?

My guitar has some damage, dings, wear etc. Can i still sell it?

YES! Depending on the age of the guitar, most buyers are expecting there to be some cosmetic wear, dings, scratches. Obviously, heavy damage may impact market price to some extent, and in most cases we'll only take functioning items. There are always cases, such as Peter Green's Les Paul - that has had a neck break and repair - yet is pretty much priceless!! The best thing to do, is Fill in the Sell Your Vintage Gear form, and detail any issues/send pictures, and our staff will be able to factor all that in and advise accordingly.

I'd like to sell my gear/Collection Anonymously - Can you Do This?

Yes! This is STANDARD. Your name will never be released to end users. We understand that certain guitars/collections can attract an awful lot of interest from end users, and often this is one of the barriers to owners selling in the first place. The only exception to this would be where enhanced provenance of ownership would materially benefit the sale of the guitar. For example, an artist owned guitar where the artist's name commands it's own premium. However this would only ever be done with explicit agreement between Rich Tone, and the Seller.
