Ovation Celebrity Standard Limited Edition - Blue Flamed Maple

Flamed maple alias Acer Macrophyllum has been a very popular wood in musical instrument making for many years and, due to its characteristics, is used for the neck, sides, back and top in solid form or as a layer of wood, depending on application. Maple woods are widely grown in the temperate latitudes of North America, Europe and Asia. Ovation has its origin in New Hartford / Connecticut, near the forest-rich coastal areas in the north-east of USA and Canada. For this reason, they have decided for a selected American Flamed Maple for the 2024 edition. A special staining process and a blue burst finish created especially for this edition are used to further emphasise the beautiful grain of the wood.
