Rickenbacker guitars was founded back in 1931 and are credited with designing the first electric guitar.
The Beatles and Rickenbacker became synonymous with one another during the 60s with John Lennon's use of the Rickenbacker 325 model. Rickenbacker 4000 series basses were made from 1957 to present day, with original models commanding the highest prices, although modern Rickenbacker guitars and basses still retain a value and certain cache in the used market.
