The Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster series was first released in 1995 and was in production up to 2016 where it was discontinued and replaced by the American Elite series. American Deluxe Stratocasters went through various upgrades during 2004, 2010 before their eventual replacement. American Deluxe Stratocasters were the successor to the Fender American Plus Stratocasters, first released in 1987.
