Martin guitars traces its history back to 1833 and is one of the most historic and significant acoustic guitar manufacturers in the world. In terms of the vintage guitar market, the Martins that are the most sought after are the original Dreadnought models that were first released in 1915, as well as original OM body shaped acoustic guitars from 1921-1931. These are rare, especially in terms of UK availability and attract the biggest prices. More recent vintage Martins from the 60s and 70s are starting to gain traction in the collectors market, while a nice Martin of any era will always retain a value in the used market.
