We are based on the southern side of Sheffield City Centre, and is a fairly straight run from Nottingham, up the M1 to Junction 29, and cut along the Chesterfield bypass that will bring you most of the way.

Travel time is approximately 1 hour and 20 Minutes by car assuming are setting off from the main central Nottingham train station.

We understand that it isn't always possible to make the trip from Nottingham to our Sheffield Store. We offer a national service and with insured DPD collections, it is normally possible to arrange a collection from an address of your chosing for delivery back to us at Rich Tone HQ. Our Sell Your Gear team will come back to you quickly with a full quote, and if you wish to proceed we will confirm details for collection.

DPD will come to your location, collect the guitar you are selling and return it to Rich Tone HQ.

Once the guitar is back with us our staff will check your guitar and book it onto our system. Assuming everything is as described, a payment request will be sent to our finance team for processing.

What Information Do We Need?

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET A SELL YOUR GEAR QUOTE?

A speedy and transparent service is important to us, as we understand customers need information quickly so they can make buying choices accordingly. We aim to reply to every Sell Your Gear within 24 hrs, and EVEN QUICKER during business hours Mon-Sat 9am - 5pm. We will reply with what we will pay for your item, and even tell you what we think our final selling price will be.

CAN YOU DO PART EXCHANGE?

Yes - NO PROBLEM. Sell your gear covers a wide range of scenarios. We take items in Part Exchange every day and are one of the largest dealers in 2nd hand gear in the country and the largest specialist Guitar Store in Sheffield.

MY PART EXCHANGE LEAVES AN OUTSTANDING BALANCE - HOW CAN I PAY THIS?

We understand flexibility is paramount to our customers. Part Exchange balances can be paid using a Credit/Debit Card, Bank Transfer, Cash (In Store Only), we also offer finance which can be used to settle balances. (This is normally subject to a £500+ balance). You can EVEN combine Part Exchange, Card, Finance for even more flexibility when buying your next instrument. Just speak to our friendly team of gear experts who will be more than happy to tailor a deal specific to you.

I'M LOOKING TO RELEASE SOME CAPITAL TIED UP IN A GUITAR. CAN I TRADE THIS IN FOR AN ITEM + CASH BACK?

Yes. No Problem. We often have customers who may have a nice guitar (or other instrument/item) that is no longer being used. You can trade your item in, and if the trade in valuation is in excess of the item you are looking to buy, we will pay the difference in cash (in our Sheffield Guitar Store only and subject to availability) or Bank Transfer.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET PAID?

Normally under 24 hrs. All bank transfers are normally made the same day once the item is booked in. Cash in store is immediate, but for obvious reasons subject ot availability. If an item is traded in right at the end of the working day, Bank Transfers would normally be done the following morning.

CAN I USE MY TRADE IN TO EFFECTIVELY SWAP FOR ANOTHER ITEM?

Yes. If the trade value of your "Part Exchange" matches the selling price of the item you want to buy, then no further balance would be due.

IS USING SELL YOUR GEAR A SMOOTH AND EASY PROCESS?

Yes. We endeavour to make the process as quick and easy as possible. Start simply, by filling in our Sell Your Gear form, and we'll do the rest and guide you through. We recommend using the form to start even if you live locally so we can price up your item before you travel to our Sheffield Guitar Store, we may even agree an appointment for you to come which can be handy when processing a lot of gear at once! I'M IN SHEFFIELD. CAN I SELL MY GUITAR TO YOU?

Yes - of course! We are based in Sheffield and you can sell your guitar to us at our Sheffield Store. We do encourage cutomers to use the Sell Your Gear form in advance of coming to the shop. This enables us to provide you with an accurate quote before you travel. It also makes your visit to our sheffield store as smooth as possible as you won't be waiting around for staff to assess and value your guitar.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO SELL OR TRADE IN MORE THAN ONE ITEM?

Yes. Absolutely! You can sell multiple guitars, FX Pedals and other musical gear to us. We often deal with customers who have collections of guitars and we try to be flexible, whether you want to sell the whole lot, or just part of your collection. No problem.
