    This is the 2nd guitar I've purchased without prior inspection, from Rich Tone's excellent selection of used instruments. I've been thinking about buying a Strandberg but they are pricey and I wanted a cheap way into headless before committing a significant amount of cash to Strandberg. Rich Tone were offering an e-bay beating price, so I thought why not! Again, I haven't been disappointed, this black Spirit arrived very well packed and in near perfect condition, almost looks new apart from one tiny dink in the paintwork. Quite a lot has been said about the low quality of the Spirit's compared to the Hohner versions, but this instrument is nicely built and well finished. It did need a bit of tweaking though and following dis-assembly of the trem and tuner barrels and applying a bit of bike grease to the threads, they are no longer stiff and are silky smooth in operation. The guitar also came equipped with 10 gauge strings installed which are a bit stiff to bend on a 25.5" scale length (IMHO) so swapped for a set of 9's. One of the easiest and quickest intonation set-ups followed and the guitar is bang in tune all the way up the neck and is a delight to play. The stock PUPs are very useable for all styles except extreme metal. Yes the appearance is marmite but for an introduction into headless you can't go wrong. Makes a great sofa or travel guitar but could easily be used live!
